After attempting to restore a backup, I get the status message "failed Checksums do not match" show up.
That the md5 checksums do not match means that the data (one or more of the 100 or backup so files) you are trying to restore has become changed (corrupted) compared to original data backed up, perhaps due to a slow backup server machine or network congestion. This corruption could have occurred
1. during the transfer from the Foglight Experience Monitor (FxM) machine the data was backed up on to the FTP server that will receive the backups
2. during the transfer from that FTP server to the FxM machine you want to restore the backup to.
