Public Folder Synchronization log contains the following error:
SERVERNAME MailKernel::Log: Error -2147219456 aeMAPIFolder::CreateMessage failed PENDING - SYNC_E_OBJECT_DELETED File: 'aeMAPIFolder.cpp' Line: '1148' 3/12/2007 12:24:47 PM \APF\Foldername\Foldername and then following entries: ErrorAction Warning 182 The object has already been deleted and cannot be copied. \APF\Foldername\Foldername
When searching the Quest KB all the information indicates that the error SYNC_E_OBJECT_DELETED seems to be tombstone related. But no PF has ever been deleted and they are all still visible in Outlook on both sides.
1. The message in the log Error -2147219456 aeMAPIFolder::CreateMessage failed PENDING - SYNC_E_OBJECT_DELETED File: 'aeMAPIFolder.cpp' Line: '1148'\ is followed by a warning and indicates the following: Someone working in the source or target environment deleted a message (error contains the subject of the message) before PST file coming from an opposite side and containing information associated with this message arrived. Due to that fact message could not be copied to PF store and PST file has been successfully deleted. Error is not critical and can be safely ignored. As the log states the ErrorAction is "Warning 182 The object has already been deleted and cannot be copied".
2. This problem can also be caused by Exchange cluster on the target which recently had failover. EMW 4.0.1 with ExchangeMigrationWizard4.0.1Update20070906 has it fixed. In all previous versions of EMW agents are using CDO functions to retrieve value of PR_ENTRYID of container IPM_SUBTEE. However after the cluster failover particular CDO function starts returning incorrect value of PR_ENTRYID of container IPM_SUBTEE. Fix changed the algorithm of retrieving value of PR_ENTRYID where it's now relying on MAPI calls.
