Caused by:com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: The query processor ran out of internal resources and could not produce a query plan. This is a rare event and only expected for extremely complex queries or queries that reference a very large number of tables or partitions." -
Cause
This issue is caused by WCF-15850, the releatedAlarms UI "Outstanding Alarms Count - New Query" under Administration/Home contains a filter for FSMServiceLevelPolicy.Actually, the the SQL contains large number of IN value comes from object id list of topology type of 'FSMServiceLevelPolicy'.It translated to SQL contains {{ NOT (this_.topology_object_id IN )}}:the IN value comes from object id list of topology type of 'FSMServiceLevelPolicy'.This problem may be caused by the "NOT IN" performance issue when the object size of 'FSMServiceLevelPolicy' is large. So the SQL server return that's errror.Error "The attempt to execute query "Query 'Outstanding Alarms Count - New Query' from the System module Administration/Home" ... Resolution
STATUS: WCF-15850 fixed in 5.9.1 Foglight Management Server (FMS) release.
WORKAROUND
- Delete the query condition FSMServiceLevelPolicy under Definitions - Administration - Home - Queries :
- Outstanding Alarms Count- New Query
- Outstanding Alarms Count - Time Range.
- Outstanding Alarms - Unacknowledged.
