Description
When adding users to Mage Collections with LDAP attibute Filter, no users are added and the preview does not show the user even if the attribute is populated in Active Directory for the user. -
Cause
Mage uses a different procedure to call the attributes then compared to Directory Synchronization. -
Resolution
The difference is in the naming context used by Get-ADObject and the DMM Console.
QMM console uses the GC:// protocol to populate information from AD. And Global Catalog contains only a limited subset of properties.
To make the Attribute property searchable from Global Catalog, you must tick the box 'Replicate this property to the Global Catalog' in the Active Directory Schema.
