How to troubleshoot intermittent email alerts that are not received
Description
When email (SMTP) alerts are intermittently not received by the intended recipients, how can administrators troubleshoot if the alerts were sent or if the alerts failed?
Resolution
One method available to troubleshoot alerts that are not delivered is to review the Alert History:
Right-click the Search that is configured to Alert and select "Alert | History..."
This will return a list of events that Alerts were sent for and whether they failed.
