If the InTrust Agent service (adcscm) is stuck in a stopping state then please follow these steps;
1. Open a Command Prompt (run as administrator) and run this command,
sc queryex adcscm, note the PID.
2. The run this command,
taskkill /f /pid [PID]
3. Copy the contents of the redist folder from your InTrust Server %Program Files (x86)%\Quest\InTrust\Server\ADC\Agent\winnt_x86\redist to a the C:\Windows\ADCAgent folder on the Agent server (if not present then please create the folder).
4. Using the Command Prompt run the following command adcscm.nt_intel.exe -install
5. When the install is successfully completed, run this command adcscm.nt_intel.exe -add 'InTrust 'servername' 900 'Organizational password'
when completed the message"InTrust agent was successfully registered on the InTrust server 'servername' is received.
6 Verify the InTrust Agent service has running.sc queryex adcscm
Please note: If you have an InTrust version prior to 11.3, any folder/registry paths referenced may contain a non-Quest branded path.
