Enhancement Request: Add a new "Sort Value" property that can be used to define the data the column should sort by or some other solution.
Unfortunately, the sorting behavior for columns where a metric has been provided as the value is erratic. It would help if there was a new "Sort Value" property that could be used to define the data the column should sort by or some other solution
It would be preferable to provide a metric type to the Column>Value property so that it can retrieved in the Flow Context through Cell Value and fed to other views as the default behavior rather than specifying X number of columns and individually defining each one the same way and retrieving the metric through another path. It would save a lot of time.
WORKAROUND: Use a function to return the metric by the columnId and the selectRow.
The example_workaround_add_function.zip file contains screen shots of an example of this workaround. The example consists of a function named "XXX_get_metric_by_columnId" used to get the real metric by the selectRow and columnId, and then popup a default view by the returnMetric.
STATUS: Enhancement request number “WCF-15657" has been submitted to Development for consideration in a future release of Foglight.
