There is a tool that works for both AppAssure and RapidRecovery. Download the change-loglevel.sh script to switch from Debug to Trace mode.
1. Download the script
wget http://aainfo5.s3.amazonaws.com/Linux/tools/change_loglevel.sh
2. Run the utility
bash change_loglevel.sh --trace or bash change_loglevel.sh --debug
You can also configure the number of archived logs and the size of each log. See help for details.
change_loglevel.sh --help
Options:
-h, --help This help menu
-d, --debug [log_size]Bytes [log_archives] Set debug level
-t, --trace [log_size]Bytes [log_archives] Set trace level
-r, --reset Set log_level, log_size and log_rotate back to default settings
Usage:
./change-loglevel.sh Runs in interactive mode.
./change-loglevel.sh --trace Simply puts the logs in Trace mode.
./change-loglevel.sh --debug 512000000 1 Puts the logs in debug mode with a single log size of 500MB
./change-loglevel.sh -t 102400000 5 Enables trace mode and sets a maximum log size to 100MB with a maximum of 5 archived logs
./change-loglevel.sh -d Enable debug mode for logs.
./change-loglevel.sh --reset Puts settings back to original state when product was first installed
