Communication between FMS(Foglight Management Server) and FTR(Foglight Transaction Recorder) are not working. This is happening when the FMS is only accepting HTTPS connections and the FMS is using the self signed weak SSL key.
IE will throw a message that a website is using an insecure key and you need to click through to get to the FMS website. FTR uses IE to communicate with FMS but can’t click through the message. The message will need to be disabled.
WORKAROUND(1):
How to disable the weak security certificate warning in Internet Explorer(IE)
NOTE: Make sure all FTR agents are deactivated and no scripts are running. If there are running scripts they will overwrite the changes you make below.
Do this by:
Logging in to the FMS and stop the data collection for all agents on the target machine.
While logged on to the FTR player machine look in the task manager under processes and verify that there are no tprunscript.exe processes running.
Once the script processes are stopped, do the following:
1) Open Internet Explorer and click on "Tools"
2) Click on "Internet Options"
3) Click on the "Advanced" tab.
4) Navigate to the "Security" section
5) Remove the check marks from the following:
a) “Check for publisher’s certificate revocation”
b) “check for server certificate revocation”
6) Click "OK" and then
7) Click "Apply."
8) Restart your computer for the options to fully take effect.
After the reboot, from the FTR player machine log in to the FMS and verify that no warning messages appear.
