Windows update service left at disabled after forest recovery
Description
During a Forest Restore, it is required to use the Retry Last Operation option (due to an issue that occurred during the restore process and that was corrected). The restore does complete successfully, however the Windows Update service startup type is still set to disabled.
Cause
There is a defect when using the Retry Last Operation option where since the Windows Update service was already set to disabled in a previous step, the FR process assumes the disabled startup type was the original startup type for the service (set to disabled prior to the restore running) and as such does not call the function to enable the service.
Resolution
A fix for this issue is included in version 8.7.1 and later. Please upgrade to the latest release.
