You must increase the tools memory allocation to upload files larger than 1GB as the default is 1GB memory. This maxes out the memory the tool is allowed to use by the system. The tool is doing more than just a straight copy and has to store actions done to this file in memory.
Increase to at least 4 times the largest file that you have to migrate. In this case with a 1.2GB we had to increase the RAM to 5GB to get the file to migrate.
To change the memory allocation do the following:
Open the tool and go to the Help Tab | Click Profile Manager | Click Memory Management | Increase the RAM to the desired amount.
**NOTE** Keep in mind when increase the RAM the tool uses it cannot go above the amount of RAM the system has and is currently using.
For example if you check task manager and see 4GB used of 6GB, than you cannot increase the memory beyond 2GB. This is because java will use this and will try to use the allocated size no matter if there is RAM available or not. If there is not enough RAM on the system and you set this above what can be used you will see issue with the migration. It may fail without errors as it does not have memory left to write the error to the log or some items may not copy due to the exhausted memory.
