There are multiple patch download and subscription settings possible in the K1000. When attempting to locate certain patches on the K1000, there are several things to consider:
NOTE: Patching is only supported on versions under full or limited support (n-1). Any patching functionality on older versions may work sporadically or not at all.
Patch download status and settings:
NOTE: Common download issues can often be resolved by verifying the ports and URLs located in: Which network ports and URLs are required for the KACE K1000 appliance to function?
Patch subscription settings:
NOTE: Activate New Patches - If this option is not selected, new patches are marked as Inactive. All patches downloaded while this option is not selected will remain inactive unless manually changed to active via the patch catalog regardless of patch subscription settings. Changing the status of Activate New Patches to enabled will only apply to all newly released patches and does not activate the previously downloaded patches.
NOTE: The patch catalog in 6.3 and 6.4 will display all patches, inactive or active, but only if they are part of the subscription settings. If a patch does not show in the catalog at all, it may be related to subscription settings. Disabled patches are viewable when using Show: Individual Patches – View By: Status | Disabled.
Reviewing the patch catalog:
When reviewing the patch catalog for clues, the following should be considered:
NOTE: For more information on Viewing available patches and download status in version 6.3.x, please review the 6.3 administrator guide starting on page 438.
NOTE: For more information on Viewing available patches and download status in version 6.4.x, please review the 6.4 administrator guide starting on page 526.
