Issue: FMS are being moved to another datacenter with IP address changes. All FglAm(s) reference the HA servers by their IP address in their respective fglam.config.xml files.
Question: Can the new IP addresses - for the new FMS servers - be added to the existing FglAM(s) before the move in order to minimize the downtime?
BEFORE:
<config:http-upstream url="http://ipaddress1:8080" ssl-allow-self-signed="false" compressed="true" />
<config:http-upstream url="http://ipaddress2:8080" ssl-allow-self-signed="false" compressed="true" />
AFTER:
<config:http-upstream url="http://ipaddress1:8080" ssl-allow-self-signed="false" compressed="true" />
<config:http-upstream url="http://ipadress2:8080" ssl-allow-self-signed="false" compressed="true" />
<config:http-upstream url="http://newipadress1:8080" ssl-allow-self-signed="false" compressed="true" />
<config:http-upstream url="http://newipaddress2:8080" ssl-allow-self-signed="false" compressed="true" />
The 'new' FMS server urls can be added to the existing FglAM's upstream configuration. FglAM will cycle through (round-robin) the configured upstream connections when looking for a connection. If while the original server is still on line, the added upstreams won't be called.
