When attempting to install a software package from the "User Console Library" ("Downloads" in 6.4.x), the following message may be received: "I was not able to find an exact dev with your IP address. Please try again later."
There are two reasons why this error appears:
1. The device that the customer is logged into does not have the K1000 KACE agent installed.
2. The device has a different IP address from what is showing in Inventory.
How to resolve:
1. Verify that the KACE agent is installed by going to going to File explorer | Dell | KACE. If this directory is found, then the agent is installed. Follow step 2 below. . If this directory is not found, install the KACE agent via Provisioning, GPO tool, or manual installation.
2. Force an inventory on the system prior to attempting the download again. To force an inventory on a device from the K1000:
NOTE: To avoid overwhelming the appliance, do not select more than 50 devices to update at once.
