Does the Configuration Manager and Report Manager need to be run from the Enterprise Reporter Server? -
Resolution
It is advised to install all component to the Enterprise Reporter Server. You can install the Configuration Manager and Report Manager to other servers or workstations to allow users to configure ER and run reports without granting access to the ER server.
To install just the Configuration Manager select to install only Configuration Manager from the installer. When running the Configruation Manager from a machine other than the ER server, the Server name to enter is the ER server name and the default port is 7738
