When adding optional columns to the Applications grid on the right hand side in DaCC (using the Column Chooser), a problem may occur when adding the “Phase” column which causes DaCC (Dependency & Conflict Checker) to hang and then stop working. Attempting to restart DaCC from the ChangeBASE Applications screen may fail to start DaCC successfully rendering DaCC unusable.
Workaround
On the client machine where DaCC is failing, delete the folder named
“DACC.EXE<anything>” (e.g. “DACC.EXE_Url_y2dscjxxhoyzdlnwhy34hti2eoqgjw2p”)
from the
%localappdata%\Microsoft folder
This folder contains a configuration file for DaCC and when deleted will allow DaCC to be started successfully. Note that any customisation that had been carried out in DaCC (e.g. adding optional columns) will be lost and will need to be re-applied.
