In order to remove base images and/or recovery points from the target core you must first break replication, perform the removal, and then re-establish the replication partnership.
Do do this perform the following:
- On the target core -
1. Click on the Replication tab
2. Go to the Incoming Replication section
3. Click on the > icon next to the Source Core Name to expand the machines
4. Select the machine/agent which has recocvery points that you would like to remove
5. Click the 'gear button' to the right of the select check box and choose Delete
6. A pop-up will come up asking if you want to delete 'with recovery points' DO NOT select this box otherwise all your recovery points will be removed
7. Click Yes
8. You will see on the left that under your Protected/Replicated machines you have a filed that says 'Recovery Points Only' with this agent now listed, click on the Agent
9. Go into Recovery Points and you should now be able to remove the recovery points that you wish from the chain
Once you have removed the recovery points that you wanted and now what want to begin replication again you will need to access the source core. Be sure that the recovery points that you removed from the target do not still exist on the source, otherwise they will be sent back over to the target once replication is re-established.
- On the soure core -
1. Click on Replication
2. Under Outgoing replication click on the > to expand the machines
3. You should see the machine in question still listed but with a state of 'deleted' select this machine
4. Click the 'gear' icon next to the machine name and choose 'Delete'
5. Click Yes
6. Turn around an just re-add this agent back in by clicking the 'gear' icon next to the Target Core Name and choosing Add Machines
7. This will prompt a re-sync of the entire recovery point chain between the source and the target - although it will take time to complete (especially across a WAN) it will only send dis-similiar recovery points over to the target
Once completed replication will pick back up as usual and on the Target Core the Recovery Points only field will either be gone or at the very least no longer include the agent that you worked on, it should moved back up underneath the Replicated Machines similar to the others.
