Upon trying to upgrade the user's current version, the user receives a window stating "Modify", "Repair", or "Uninstall" the current version. The user is not prompted to install a new copy or to upgrade the existing copy of Toad.
RESOLUTION:
When upgrading to a new version of Toad for MySQL, you must uninstall the current version and then install the newer version. If you attempt to upgrade a new version of Toad for MySQL without uninstalling, a window displays with options to Modify, Repair, or Uninstall the current version.
The installer used by Toad for MySQL caches the installer (.msi) file on your computer so that it can install on-demand, reinstall, or repair the current version of Toad for MySQL. Attempting to upgrade using one of these options results in the installer locating the original .msi file on your computer and running it, rather than the .msi file for the newer version.
STATUS:
Waiting for a fix in a future release of Toad for MYSQL.
