In previous versions of Exchange Migration Wizard, the only way to add newly-created mailboxes, administrative groups, storage groups, and stores to the configuration database is a full Exchange organization refresh. This process takes a long time, especially for large organizations, and is not flexible.
With Exchange Migration Wizard 3.6, you no longer need to perform a full refresh if you create new mailboxes or change the Exchange organization topology (for example, add new administrative groups, storage groups, or stores). The following enhancements were made:
If you want to add the new Exchange servers, administrative groups, storage groups, or stores to the configuration database, you now have the option to refresh the Exchange topology only. This process is very fast because EMW Project Manager reads this information right from Active Directory and does not require a full Exchange organization re-enumeration.
If you only need to add newly-created mailboxes to the configuration database, you now can use the Add Recipients to the EMW Database option. Previously this option was available for the source organization only; it is now available for the target organization as well. Using the Add Recipients to the EMW Database option also does not require the timeconsuming full Exchange organization re-enumeration.
