A driver for a particular model is missing from the feed, or an updated version of the driver is available.
There is a manual process involved in getting the drivers into the feed, therefore there can be a delay in which newer drivers get updated in the K2000/SDA.
Dell will release a new driver package for a particular model of machine. The new CAB files usually take one to two weeks before they are available for the K2000/SDA driver feed package download.
To check if the driver pack available in the driver feed is the latest driver package released by dell:
Note: Family Packs are not scheduled to be added into the Driver Feed, only CAB files when they become available.
If the K2000/SDA Driver feed is older send email to KACE support requesting the driver feed be updated and the model in question. Please include a link to the detail page from the Dell Cab site in your request. It will take approximately 5 business days for the update to be complete. You should receive email confirmation when this is done.
If the matter is pressing and you need the new/updated drivers immediately, you can download the .cab file manually, decompress the cab file and put the necessary folders/drivers into the drivers_postinstall share. Using the example above, the folders in the file location of the K2000/SDA share:
\\kbox2\drivers_postinstall\dell\windows_10_x64\
The 7250 drivers are copied into folder “e7250_7250”.
Recache drivers and deploy.
