USB Port Security denying access without having any deny permissions set
Description

"The <> operation you are attempting on the device <> was denied because of restrictions in effect on this computer" although the premissions have not been set to deny access to this device.
Cause

One possible cause can be a 3rd party software installed that can encrypt or lock down access to devices. A known program to cause this issue is Credant External Media Edition.
Resolution

Remove the 3rd party encryption program and reboot the machine. You may also need to remove USB/Port Security as well and let it reinstall.
