During the upgrade of the DAReporting database the upgrade to Desktop Authority 9.1 fails.
Error:
"DAInstaller.CoreServices.CriticalException: Cannot install DAReporting database ---> System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Incorrect syntax near '('.

Cause
The current installation of SQL has the compatibility mode of the DAConfiguration and DAReporting databases set to SQL Server 2000. This is not a supported version of SQL for Desktop Authority 9.1.

Resolution
The compatibility mode of the databases needs to be changed to SQL Server 2005 or 2008.
To view or change the compatibility level of a database:
(Using SQL Server Management Studio)- After connecting to the appropriate instance of the SQL Server Database Engine, in Object Explorer, click the server name.
- Expand Databases.
- Right-click on DAConfiguration, and then click Properties.
The Database Properties dialog box opens. - In the "Select a page" pane, click Options.
The current compatibility level is displayed in the Compatibility level list box. - To change the compatibility level, select SQL Server 2005 (90) or SQL Server 2008 (100).
- Repeat these steps again for the DAReporting database.
