Support of specific Java SDK releases varies by JVM vendor. In particular, releases of the IBM Java SDK typically come out after the corresponding Sun Microsystems SDK. As such our thorough QA and subsequent official support for the IBM Java SDK version may have been added in different JClass release than the one from Sun.
JClass ServerViews 5.5.5 was the last version to offer support for JDK 1.3.1. JClass ServerViews 6.0.1 was the last version to offer support for JDK 1.4.2.
What follows is a high-level summary of feature changes in each release subsequent to JClass ServerViews 5.0.0. In addition each release contains numerous minor changes and problem fixes. Any product which does not have a detailed change log for a given release may still have had important problem fixes. A major release which added the new Timeline type to JClass ServerChart, as well as enhanced control over included and excluded intervals with time axis charts. Significant updates and new features are provided for JClass ServerReport including lists, media clips, front matter (lists of figures and table of contents), strucutred PDF support, and metadata support.
A patch rollup release which also added an installer for the Solaris x86 platform.
A major release which added the JClass ServerGauge components, including linear and circular gauges, indicators, and simple one-element graphs. Several significant improvements to ServerChart including support for gradient fills and data thresholds.
A patch rollup release which also added official support for a number of application server platforms, while retiring support for numerous older and EOL'd vendor platforms.
A major release which added a new targetted data model to ServerChart, allowing easier loading of data into the chart from databases, for example using JDBC result sets. New ServerChart features included markers and thresholds. Support for watermarking and RTF output was added to ServerReport.
