RESOLUTION 1:
1. Shut down Toad for Oracle.
2. Browse to the User File directory, typically C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\User Files
3. Locate the file CONNECTIONS.INI. Make a backup copy of the file somewhere else in case you need to refer to it.
4. Open the CONNECTIONS.INI file in a text editor.
5. Run a search and remove the string or <PASSWORD> indicated in the error message.
6. Save the CONNECTIONS.INI file.
7. Launch Toad and the error message should be gone.
8. At the login screen, locate the connection and enter the password.
9. Check the box "Save Passwords" if you wish to save it.
RESOLUTION 2:
1. Shut down Toad for Oracle.
2. Browse to the User File directory, typically C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\User Files
3. Locate the file CONNECTIONS.INI
4. Rename the file to CONNETIONS.OLD.
5. Launch Toad and the error message should be gone.
6. Re-enter your connection information and password.
7. Check the box "Save Passwords" if you wish to save it.
