Migrator for Notes to Exchange 4.17


	NOTE: MNE supports only 32-bit Notes clients. Notes 14 does not have a 32-bit version. A future update of MNE will add support for the Notes 14 64-bit client.

New Exchange Server setting for Microsoft 365:

In the MNE console, under Edit Default Settings > Exchange Server, a new Tenant ID field has been added to the Tenant Settings for Microsoft 365.


	IMPORTANT: If you are connecting to Microsoft 365 and are upgrading from the previous MNE release, a red asterisk next to App Registration indicates that you must open the App Registration... dialog and add this field. The value to provide is the tenant ID from the Microsoft Azure App portal.

Azure app permission changes for Microsoft 365:


	IMPORTANT: The required Azure app permissions have changed. Consult chapter 1 of the Admin guide for the revised required API permissions.

Upcoming changes

The following Microsoft platforms will end their lifecycle on October 14, 2025. The next release of MNE will remove support for these platforms from the supported platforms matrices:

Windows 10

•

Outlook 2016 and Outlook 2019

Additionally, Exchange Server 2016 and Exchange Server 2019 will reach their Microsoft end of support on October 14, 2025. Quest echoes Microsoft’s recommendation that customers prepare their organizations to upgrade to Exchange Server Subscription Edition (SE) when it becomes available early in the second half of 2025. Microsoft offers detailed guidance on planning for this upgrade.

The default value for the [Exchange] O365Environment parameter is now Global instead of AzureCloud when this parameter is not specified. This parameter identifies the Microsoft 365 environment that is the target of the migration.

The concept of National Clouds as described in the [Exchange] O365Environment entry in the of Migrator for Notes to Exchange 4.16.3 Program Parameters Reference Guide is no longer valid.

•

The Microsoft 365 Environment drop-down has been removed from the Migrator for Notes to Exchange console.

•

This parameter should not be changed unless instructed by Quest support.
