What’s New in Active Administrator

Active Administrator® 8.6.3 is the latest patch release of Quest Software's complete solution for managing Microsoft Active Directory health, delegation, accounts, GPOs, recovery and security auditing, and certificate and DNS management. This document provides a highlight of these improvements.

NOTE: The Active Directory Health module requires a license in addition to the license for Active Administrator.
* 
NOTE: A new GPO repository is included in this release.

The GPO repository cannot include GPOs with unpublished changes. To ensure no edits are lost, you must publish the changes or check out the GPOs prior to installing Active Administrator.

As a result of ongoing research and development, and in response to customer feedback, the following issues have been resolved in this release of Active Administrator:

•
Scheduling Active Directory Health Purge is not functioning properly on non-English SQL database servers.
•
Audit agents on Windows 2012 domain controllers cannot connect to the SQL database using the MS SQL Native Client 11.
•
Resetting the default domain controller policy with dcgpofix causes the policy to become orphaned in Active Administrator.
•
Error when adding a new Active Directory Health agent to monitor a domain controller “where at least one of the following AD properties are not set: dNSHostName, ServerReference, msDS-SiteName”.
•
Certificate Repository Report does not contain the correct data.
•
Inactive account tasks failing when the option to leave users in place is selected.
