VMware backup of multiple VM’s fails with Worker process has exited prematurely as seen below.

Job Message 2013/03/12 09:04:02 4443 Data Plugin TEST TaskID Backing up log files to media
Error 2013/03/12 19:34:18 4443 Data Plugin TEST Worker process has exited prematurely
When VMware backup of VM ‘TEST' was run on its own it hung at the same point “Backing up log files to media”.
Deleted the VMware logs for VM ‘TEST' and the backup went through as expected.
