When trying to run a migration for a newly created mailbox, the Migration stops prematurely and the following error appears in the Log File: PR_EMS_AB_HOME_MDB
The full text is: ERROR: Unable to open mailbox for user 'XXX': User has no PR_EMS_AB_HOME_MDB.
1- The AD replication has not completed before the migration began. This is more applicable for large environments.
2- The Exchange user has not been mailbox-enabled.
3- The Exchange "Admin" profile that you are using is configured to run in Cached mode.
1- Wait for atleast 15 minutes before attempting to run the migration. You can always test the availability of the mailbox by connecting to it with the Migration Admin's credentials from the Migration Console. In some environments, it can be several hours before the AD replication is complete.
2- Mailbox-Enable the mailbox in question. You can test this is accessible by using the method above.
3- Remove Cached Mode from the settings of the Migration Admin's Outlook profile. To remove this, deselect the “Use Cached Exchanged Mode” check box in the Exchange Settings.
