In the Configuration Manager, two discoveries have been created and scheduled run against different organization unit within the same domain. One of the discoveries is scheduled run first, the followed by the other.
Once the discoveries are completed successful, the Report Manager is used to generate report. The report only consists of the information of the second discovery. The data from the first discovery is not shown in the report.
This is an expected behavior. It is not advisable to create multiple discoveries (same type) to run against the same root item. For instance, in Active Directory, the root item is domain; while in computer, NTFS, SQL, the root item is the computer.
The discovery collects and stores the data into the database which then is available for reporting. If something gets deleted from the scope, that was previously collected, it is marked as tomstoned. The collected data does not get deleted from the database; instead, it is marked as tomstoned so that the Report Manager does not show it.
WORKAROUND:
None.
STATUS:
Enhancement request (TF00191408) has been submitted to Development for consideration in a future release of Enterprise Reporter.
