How do you enable SQL Analysis?

The SQL Analysis options determine what data is collected and displayed on the SQL Analysis - Workload view and the SQL Analysis page of the SQL Activity drilldown.

Note: Enabling SQL Analysis may adversely affect the performance of your SQL Server. SQL Analysis data collection puts extra load on your SQL Server; the more data you collect the more the load.

• Go to configure | SQL Analysis
• Select your connection to configure and click on ‘Override the Default Settings’ and ‘Enable SQL Analysis’
• By default, ‘use continuous rowset trace’ is selected, the impact would be too much collection, this uses a lot of resources. We recommend to select ‘use sampling server side trace and schedule it in intervals
