One can change the word highlighting for any connection by going to " Tools | Options | Editor | Highlighting Styles" and selecting the Language.
In there it's possible to set the style for every element of the selected language.
For Hive Toad Data Point uses the default style, which is Oracle's style. There is a separate style for Odbc.
PLEASE NOTE: One may also replace the whole style with a pre-existing style by just replacing a file, going to "Help | About" and clicking on "Application Directory" and looking for the "\Templates\Languages" folder, you'll find all styles for different languages. To replace the Odbc style with the Oracle for example, one just have to replace Language.Odbc.xml with copy of Language.Oracle.xml, Of course, you should make a backup copy of the original Language.Odbc.xml.
