IT Security Search 11.3 cannot be installed to non-default drive path -
Description
During IT Security Search 11.3 installer, attempts to install to non-default drive path fail. The installer detects associated components have already been installed to C:\ and installer will not continue unless installed to C:\ -
Cause
"Quest InTrust 11.3 Indexing Tool" component has been installed to the C:\ during the installer. There is no option to install the Indexing Tool to non-default path. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND
1. Uninstall the "Quest InTrust 11.3 Indexing Tool" via add/remove programs.
2. Install the "Quest InTrust 11.3 Indexing Tool" MSI from the IT Security Search 11.3 install media found in the 'Components' folder and specify the desired drive path.
3. Install IT Security Search as per normal via the autorun.
STATUS
Waiting fix in a future release of IT Security Search.
