I was on Toad for Data Analysts 3.0 using a commercial key. After upgrading to version 3.1, it launched with a trial key along with my commercial key. Why is there a trial key updating to version 3.1?
Product Defect.
WORKAROUND:
1. Close Toad.
2. Browse to default folder - C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for Data Analysts 3.1
3. Locate and delete the file called "license.key".
4. Browse to default folder:
XP - C:\Documents and Settings\<User_Name>\Local Settings\Application Data
Vista/7 - C:\Users\<User_Name>\AppData\Local
5. Locate a folder similar to {08439167-4CA5-48E9-A810-A3A7C0B80B06}.
6. Locate the file called "ProductLicenses.xml" and rename it to "ProductLicenses.xml.OLD".
7. Launch Toad again and only a commercial key should be picked up.
STATUS:
