Lack of write permissions in the <vardir>/rim directory, its file or the link from $SP_SYS_VARDIR/rim to the actual <vardir>/rim .
In most cases <vardir>/rim and $SP_SYS_VARDIR/rim are the same directory. However, in the event that $SP_SYS_VARDIR/rim directory runs out of space and additional disk space is not be available, the user may create a new location for the rim files and create a link from $SP_SYS_VARDIR/rim to the new <vardir>/rim. The link, the the new location and the files must have write privileges for the shareplex user.
1. Shutdown shareplex
2. Verify that the shareplex user has write permissions to the <vardir>/rim directory or to the link from $SP_SYS_VARDIR/rim to the <vardir>/rim.
3. Verify that the shareplex user has write permissions to all files located in the <vardir>/rim directory.
4. Start shareplex
Refer to SOL11121 for instructions on how to move the product directory of Shareplex from one location to another.
