Random occurrence of Error 60405 for the backup of a particular database. Backup fails with error 60405 (Could not open backup file ....bak or ...trn). Error 60405 states that "The previous system message is the reason for the failure". "Error: 50000, Severity: 16, State: 1." from the same thread and another 60405 message from another thread (for the maintenance plan?).
There is the possibility that another job or plan has been scheduled to backup/restore that same database from another instance or the same instance to/from the same location. The two jobs are then trying to access the same backup file due to the database name.
