Secure Copy console can be opened. However, if any adjustment is made to a copy job, such as changing the number of threads or applying synchroniztion options, the application will seem to hang, and then return a generic "APPCRASH" error.
Errors may be returned in the Application.evt log:
Event ID 1026
Framework Version: v4
Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception.
Event ID 1000
Faulting Application SecureCopy.exe
faulting module SOLVClient.dll
1. Anti-virus or anti-spyware utility running on either the source or target file system.
2. An incorrect path for log files has been entered, or a path that was once correct has changed on the network.
3. The local profile for the user has been corrupted.
1. Disable anti-virus software on both the Source and Target devices. In addition to making exceptions within the anti-virus, stop the service on both devices if possible.
2. Open Secure Copy console | Advanced Support Tool | Settings and verify the 'Log Files Path'.
3. Log in as another user and start the Secure Copy job again. If the AppCrash error disappears, then the local profile for the user that is experiencing the APPCrash issue may be corrupt. Either run the job as the user that does not experience the APPCrash, or delete the corrupt profile and have the user login again to create the new profile.
