Symptoms:
The Netvault Installation guide states that you need to install the Netvault SCSI driver for tape libraries on AIX.
This Netvault driver is only required when installing non-IBM tape libraries, IBM tape libraries will use the ATAPE driver. It is theoretically possible to edit the AIX ODM to include a non IBM tape library, in which case you would not require the Netvault SCSI driver.
The Netvault SCSI driver is, however, no longer available on the Bakbone download side, but is available on BMS as a retired driver. A new version of the driver has not been released and AIX is approaching EOL so it is unlikely that one will be written. You can attatch the retired version to the case.
