Check to make sure that your ESX server is also credentialed in vRanger. In the vRanger My Inventory screen, there should be a yellow key on the lower right area of the server icon.
If the yellow key is missing, please do the following:
1. In vRanger My Inventory screen, right click on the ESX(i) server and choose Add Credentials
2. Enter the account used to authenticate the ESX(i) server (usually root)
3. Click the Connect button
Once the ESX(i) server has been successfully credentialed, restart the VMware Tools service on the VM that is experiencing the snapshot problem
