NM: What does the LOGSTATUSBAR notes.ini setting do? (4321316)

Question

I was reviewing the Notes Migrator 19.03.04 Release notes section observed a new enhancement is made where a new variable called "LOGSTATUSBAR" is added to the Notes.ini file on the Migration Control Center.  What is the purpose of this variable?

Answer

The LOGSTATUSBAR notes.ini setting will cause Notes (on the Controller) to write status bar updates to the local Notes log.nsf file. This is located in the Notes Data directory folder.
So this will now record items for processing buttons in Notes Migrator, or any other Notes function where notifications are written to the status bar (bottom of the Notes client) to also be written to the local log.

With the LOGSTATUSBAR=1 in place you will see additional log.nsf entries when clicking on the Notes Migrator buttons for processing (eg Fix Contacts and Group Members) and these will match any Notes status bar updates which scroll by very quickly and disappear.

Adding the notes.ini line directly for the Controller Notes instance is fine to do and is similar to other notes.ini for all versions of our product.

If the notes.ini line is not included it will not cause any issues for migration processing and the status bar updates will still be performed by Notes, these will just not be written to the local log.nsf as well.
