Cause
The user account's SQL login (specified in the Alert Database options) was not added to the 'Intrust Monitoring Console' database role

Resolution
Add login (which is going to be specified in the Alert Database options dialogue) to database role 'Intrust Monitoring Console'.
The detailed steps are:1. Open SQL Management Studio2. Expand Security node under Intrust Alert Database object3. Expand Roles subnode under Security node and add designated login to the role 'Intrust Monitoring Console'
