IIS7 WWW logs error during gathering, "Data source is disabled to logging" or "The specified log does not exist"
The InTrust event log shows the following reason:
Component ' {CE198663-BCB5-4643-A9AC-75E3EE06D7CB} failed to install. ADC Error: Could not install ISAPI filter required for processing IIS events, because a 64-bit version of IIS is running. 64-bit IIS is not currently supported
1. In order for InTrust to cache and or collect the logs directly the IIS7 role requires the following service be added:
"IIS 6 Management Compatibility"
2. Agent-side caching feature is not currently supported for IIS running in 64-bit mode.
On the IIS server in question perform the following steps:
1) Open "Server Manager".
2) Under "Roles" area scroll down on the right-side pane to the "Web Server (IIS)" area.
3) Click "Add Role Services".
4) Locate "IIS 6 Management Compatibility" service and enable it.
5) Click "Install".
On the InTrust server perform the following steps:
1) Disable agent-side caching on the IIS datasource in the Gathering Policy and save the changes (if IIS is running in 64-bit mode)
ST81856 had been logged for IIS 64-bit mode and agent-side caching support to be considered in a future release of InTrust.
