After running a report in Quest Knowledge Portal the user accesses more granular data provided by sub-reports.
The user then receives an error similar to the following:
"An error has occurred during report processing. Query execution failed for data set 'MainDataSet'."
The datasource for the subreports is different then the report which was executed or the connection is broken.
Intrust 9.6 (Quest Knowledge Portal)
The sub-reports folder is hidden by default as these reports are not meant to be run as an ad hoc report. See Solution SOL36620 (https://support.quest.com/SUPPORT/index?page=solution&id=SOL36620) for more detail.
Open http://srs_machine_name/reports and click "show details" on the right. Browse to the InTrust directory and at the bottom should be the sub-reports folder. Click the edit button next to "Subreports". There you will be able to make the folder visible by disabling "hide in list view".
Then use the property manager wizard in the Knowledge Portal to reset the data source for that folder to the proper audit_db. You can reset the data source in SRS but only one sub-report at a time. It is suggested to hide the sub-reports folder after this is complete to avoid confusion as they cannot be run independently.
This should not be an issue using the InTrust Knowledge Portal as the sub-reports folder is visible and the data source can be configured via the property manager wizard without the need of editing the folder properties through SRS.
