Web Portal Error: "Invalid JSON primitive" -
Description
When attempting to authenticate using OAuth to the Identity Manager web portal the following error is displayed in the web portal:
Error:Failed to authenticate user
Invalid JSON primitive -
Cause
Incorrect authentication method set. -
Resolution
Please follow the steps below to set the authentication method:
1. Open Designer and login with an applicable account
2. Click on Base Data
3. Expand Security settings
4. Click on OAuth 2.0/OpenID Connect configuration
5. Select the Identity Provider
6. Click on the Applications menu
7. Set the Authentication method to client_secret_basic
8. Click on Commit to database
9. A restart of IIS may be required to clear the cache
