Error message connecting "Either the target name is incorrect or the server has rejected the client credentials" (4292534)

After install of GPOADmin we get the folliowing error message when connecting to the server:"Either the target name is incorrect or the server has rejected the client credentials."

In event viewer there is a similar 1050 error message, and a lot of 500 "Either the target name is incorrect or the server has rejected the client credentials."

This seems to be related with Microsoft Patch KB5010359

Go to C:\ProgramFiles\Quest\GPOAdmin\Connections\Default.Ciinet.Connection.config and open that config file.

Check what is the value for <UseServerAndPortSPN> .

If it was "false", please change to "true".

Also, edit win registry as per below:

HKLM\Software\Quest\GPOAdmin\ServerConfig\UseServerAndPortSPN
DWORD
Value = 1

On some machines you may need to re-add the SPN.

This should be done on every server and client machine you have; please reboot and try connecting.
