The vRanger interface does not open and shows the following message in the event viewer:
The issue occurs when the permissions are not ordered correctly in the vRanger installation directory or the Windows temporary folder.
In order to fix the issue, we need to use Microsoft's Icacls tool from the command line. Please run the following commands to verify the ACL of the folders used by vRanger:
If this verification fails for a specific folder with the message "Ace entries not in canonical order", you can reset the permissions on that folder with these commands:
Once the permissions have been reset, use the installer to repair the vRanger Backup & Replication application and restart the server.
