I get the error below when I connect or login to the database. This happens randomly and happens a lot. This error started appearing recently only. My Toad used to work just fine.

Corrupted or damaged Toad user files.
For Toad for Oracle 9.6 and below versions:
NOTE: Make a BACKUP of the C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\User Files\ folder before proceeding. Back up your Toad Authorization Key and Site Message as well. You can get this from the Toad Help menu | Register Toad or from your own records.
2) Go to C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\User Files\
3) Rename the following files:
a) Toad.ini to Toad.ini.OLD
b) EditorLayout_Hex.lay to EditorLayout_Hex.lay.OLD
c) EditorLayout_PLSQL.lay to EditorLayout_PLSQL.lay.OLD
d) EditorLayout_SQL.lay to EditorLayout_SQL.lay.OLD
e) EditorLayout_Text.lay to EditorLayout_Text.lay.OLD
f) EditorLayout_XML.lay to EditorLayout_XML.lay.OLD
g) MainFormLayout_default.lay to MainFormLayout_default.lay.OLD
h) CONNECTIONPWDS.INI to CONNECTIONPWDS.INI_OLD
i) CONNECTIONS.INI to CONNECTIONS.INI_OLD
j) TOOLBARS.INI to TOOLBARS.INI_OLD
2) Start Toad – NOTE: If you are not prompted to complete the initial Toad settings, it means the above steps did not work. Your current Toad may have been installed in a different location. Please let me know if you cannot find the location of the Toad you are using.
3) Re-test the issue
