When trying to upgrade, the installer keeps checking the E:\ drive and reporting that there's not enough room for install. But the E:\ isn't specified by the user and there may or may not exist an E:\ at all.
The installation directory in general specifies the default C:\Program files\Quest Software\... This drive exists and the user has access. The user have full admin privileges for installation.
Why is it checking the E:\ drive? Where can this drive been changed or another drive specified?
WORKAROUND:
Note: Altering the registry can affect your whole PC. Be sure to backup your registry before making any changes or contact your local IT deptartment for any assistance.
Check the following registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Quest Software\Quest Installer\Installations
Look for the variable:
"Quest Central Installation Folder"
Modify the variable if necessary:
What is this set to? Is it set to E:\? Modify the variable so that it is set to the value of C:\ or whatever drive the application is being installed into. If the variable does not exist, create it and set it's value to the drive the application is being installed in.
