What does “Collect additional diagnostic information” mean in the bottom section of the alarm settings? (it was not a feature in earlier versions)
Take notice of the Diagnostic Drilldowns. These collect a rich and valuable set of information when performance problems occur. In some environments with large pieces of SQL executing or for other reasons, the queries used to investigate the performance issue become too expensive to run. As such, it is now shipped with the collection of this information switched off, but it can be turned on permanently, or turned on whenever there are ongoing performance issues, rather than all the time.
