Oracle restore failed with the following information logged by NetVault Backup (NVBU):

ORA-19554: error allocating device, device type: SBT_TAPE, device name:
ORA-27000: skgfqsbi: failed to initialize storage subsystem (SBT) layer
SVR4 Error: 104920872: Unknown system error
Additional information: 7111
ORA-19511: Error received from media manager layer, error text:
SBT error = 7111, errno = 104920872, sbtinit: system error

As the error message suggests, the problem is usually operating system caused. In order to identify the root cause provide the following to support
