When migrating content between site collections that are using different regional settings (time zone), the "Date and Time" values in the target are not same as the source. For example:
Source Site Collection in UTC - 8 Pacific TimeTarget Site Collection in UTC - 10 Hawaii TimeThis normally happens because the Time Zone settings on the source and target site collections are different. SharePoint internally stores all "Date and Time" values in GMT/UTC. Content Matrix follows the same standard and updates all "Date and Time" values in UTC.
In the example above, the UTC value for "1/8/2014 7:00 PM (PST)" is "1/9/2014 3:00 AM (UTC/GMT)", which then becomes "1/8/2014 5:00 PM (Hawaii)" on the target after migration.
A custom transformer script can be used to alter the values in the "Date and Time" field during migration. Please follow the steps below:
if($dataObject["FSObjType"] -ne "1") { [datetime]$time = $dataObject["Propose_x0020_Time"] # Add 2 hours $time = $time.AddHours(2) # set the value. Add new line for each column $dataObject["Propose_x0020_Time"] = $time.tostring("o") }
